Increase of subscription fee was determined by two factors – increase of value-added tax and sharply grown payments for program retranslation licenses.
Before, 5% VAT rate was applied to cable television services, but from January 1, 2009 – 21%! In turn, VAT rate increase for other products and services from 18% to 21% even more increase also costs for maintaining infrastructure, necessary for provision of cable television services. Additionally, on a regular basis grows payment for program retranslation licenses. Depending on the quality and popularity of the program content, increase of program retranslation service varies from 5% to 10%, in some cases even 25% to 50%!

IZZI is aware of inconvenience, caused to subscribers by price changes, but this step was necessary to make, in order to be able to provide and develop offered services in future.
